Rory Best is in line for his first appearance of the season after being named on the Ulster bench for Sunday's Champions Cup clash with La Rochelle.

Despite reports to the contrary, the Ireland captain’s hamstring has healed in time for what could be a real baptism of fire.

Iain Henderson retains the captaincy at flanker this time as Jacob Stockdale is surprisingly left to stew beside Best on the wood.

This means Tommy Bowe and Andrew Trimble will link up with Charles Piutau in the back three.
