Trimble gets an earful off Reed

ANDREW TRIMBLE was involved in an unusual incident during his Ulster side's embarrassing defeat to the Scarlets in the Magners League last weekend.

Attempting a kicked clearance, Scarlets' second-row Lou Reed charged at Trimble, but was subsequently reported by the touch judge for "ungentlemanly conduct", ie shouting at the kicker!

Trimble's kick almost curled back into play so perhaps the touch judge was covering his tracks.

Former Wales No 8 Stuart Davies concurred with the decision in commentary -- "especially if it was something nasty"!

But what could Reed have possibly said to prompt such a walk on the wild side? Answers on a postcard and also suggestions for other weird penalty offences to the address. DK
