FORMER All Blacks backs coach Wayne Smith (above) says he will decide in the next 10 days whether to take up a position with Stuart Lancaster's England. London Irish attack coach Mike Catt has been tipped for a temporary role on England's summer tour to South Africa but head coach Lancaster met with Smith last week to discuss a permanent position.

Smith is believed to have an exit clause with the Waikato Chiefs that could let him leave in August.

Danny Care is reportedly being considered for a recall. The Harlequins scrum-half was dropped from the squad in January after two alcohol-related arrests and has been since charged with being drunk and disorderly. However, he is said to have had talks with Lancaster about returning.
