Fine Gael TD Noel Rock has attempted to expose ticket touting ahead of Ireland's Six Nations finale with England on Saturday.
Rock has ramped up his fight against ticket touting after attempting to expose two ticket touts in a sting video ahead of this weekend's Six Nations clash at the Aviva Stadium.
The Dublin North West TD, who called on the government to outlaw the reselling of tickets over the above-cost selling of concert tickets for U2's summer show at Croke Park, has now turned his focus to rugby with tickets for Saturday's game against England the subject of his investigation.
The Dublin politician engaged with two touts in the video below, a private seller and a professional touter, with Rock questioning each seller's ethics of charging up to 10 times above the face value cost of the tickets.
Rock has previously called for secondary ticket sales to be outlawed asking the government to adopt a model similar to Belgium's anti-ticket touting legislation.
"Some buying tickets only to resell for extortionate multiple profit with no value added. Time to end that. Belgium did it. We can too.”
