Ronan O'Gara joked with fellow RTE pundit George Hook to show viewers his knee live on air.

Following Ireland's comfortable victory over Italy in the Six Nations opener in Rome, the panel were discussing Sean O'Brien's chances of playing against France next weekend at the Aviva Stadium.

The Leinster flanker cried off in the warm-up before kick-off with a hamstring twinge 15 months after his injury against New Zealand.

The panel argued whether the 'Tullow Tank' could play next week and after suggesting he won't feature next week, O'Gara decided to poke fun at Hook after presenter Tom McGurk asked the Newstalk host for his opinion after his recent knee surgery.

"Show us your knee George," the former Ireland out-half joked.

"Go on George, pull your pants down."
