Wales' Six Nations clash with England next week will be the last Friday night fixture in the championship for the foreseeable future.
Six Nations chief executive Feehan yesterday confirmed the experiment -- which has been running for the last two seasons -- will be scrapped for 2012 and 2013.
The tournament will still end with three fixtures on a so-called 'Super Saturday,' but on every other weekend there will be two games on the Saturday and one on the Sunday.
Feehan said: "With stadia at full capacity, television is the best way to increase the number of people watching matches.
"We feel that the fixture schedules for the next two years will deliver on this."
France hosted Wales in the first Six Nations Friday night fixture back in 2009, a game the French won 21-16.
