England's Mako Vunipola has been ruled out of the Guinness Six Nations match against Ireland at Twickenham on Sunday.

A statement from England Rugby confirmed that the prop had "travelled back to Tonga for family reasons" in what is a significant blow to coach Eddie Jones' plans.

Bath's Beno Obano has been called into the 33 man training squad in his place.

Vunipola's brother Billy will miss the entire Six Nations campaign with a broken arm with Manu Tuilagi and Henry Slade both remaining injury doubts.
