There was positive news for Sean O'Brien today following the knock he suffered in yesterday's Six Nations win over England at the Aviva Stadium.

The IRFU have confirmed that O'Brien "suffered a concussion, is much improved and has started the graded return to play protocols".

O'Brien had to be substituted after making a rampaging run in the first half of yesterday's encounter with England.

He fell backwards when he tried to regain his feet and the Irish doctor Eanna Falvey rushed onto the pitch and quickly helped the Carlow man from the field.

Meanwhile, the IRFU also confirmed that Jared suffered a concussion and has also commenced the graded return to play protocols while Johnny Sexton suffered a minor hamstring injury.
