England's Sarah McKenna celebrates after scoring a try

Sarah Hunter got England off to the perfect start as they maintained their winning start to the Women's Six Nations Championship with a 27-0 win over Ireland at a blustery Doncaster.

England took control from the off, with number eight Hunter touching down after a five-metre scrum and wingers Abby Dow and Jess Breach crossing in quick succession with an Emily Scarratt conversion making it 17-0 after just 27 minutes.

Flanker Vicky Fleetwood extended the home side's lead at the back of a powerful maul to clinch the bonus point before the break.

However, England had to wait until 18 minutes into the second half to cross for a fifth time when full-back Sarah McKenna touched down with Scarratt once again unable to add the two points in desperately difficult kicking conditions.
