Ireland U-20s coach Nigel Carolan has opted to make four changes to the side beaten by England two weeks ago for tomorrow's away clash with Wales.

The return of Connacht winger Ciaran Gaffney strengthens an already formidable back-line.

After impressing in the narrow defeat to England, second-row Cian Romaine is promoted from the bench to partner Josh Murphy, who moves from the back-row.

Nick Timoney also comes off the bench to start in the back-row alongside Lorcan Dow and Conor Oliver, who makes his first appearance of the tournament.

"It was disappointing to lose to England, but we have put that behind us now," Carolan said.

"We have addressed the key areas that were highlighted against England and hopefully we can take our chances.

"The championship is still there for the taking and we look forward to getting it back on track."
