BANDON Grammar School cruised to a facile victory in this Senior Cup first round clash at Dungarvan yesterday.

The West Cork school ran in nine tries without ever being seriously threatened.

Scrum-half Jack Robinson got the scoring underway in the corner, while No 2 came from the individual genius of Mighty Okafor, who sprinted 50 metres before grounding the ball under the posts.

It was the first of many outstanding contributions by the winger who was, by far, the best player on view.

The tries continued to come, Stephen Good, Chris Pringle, and Darren Sweetnam all getting in on the act.

Sweetnam converted two, and the winners went in 31-0 up at the break.

Bandon continued to pile on the pressure in the second period, with Okafar, Sam Hunter and impressive full-back Conor Moloney (a brace) completing the try-scoring.
