Gonzaga sent out a warning sign to their Cup rivals

Gonzaga sent out a warning sign to their Cup rivals when they swept aside Naas CBS in Terenure.

Captain Andy Marks broke through the ranks of the Naas defence to score two tries within the opening 12 minutes. Second-rows Marco McVey and Fionn Maguire also got over before the end of the first quarter.

Naas finally got on the scoreboard when scrum-half Andrew Kelly drove over after a long spell of pressure, but that was soon cancelled out by McVey's second try to leave it 27-5 at half-time.

Kelly's second try gave Naas some hope but Gonzaga quickly regained control with tries from replacement Killian Carolan and front-row pair Eoghan Byrne and Hugo Brennan.
