Leo Cullen has called on Devin Toner to focus on Leinster just in case Ireland coach Joe Schmidt makes the call the lock wanted to get two weeks ago.

Toner is back at the province, joining Ross Byrne and Dave Kearney as they all look to move beyond the disappointment of not making the World Cup squad.

“All three of them, they just need to get back in playing now,” said the coach, at the launch of the Guinness PRO14 League at the Aviva Stadium today.

“We’ve got competitive games coming up. They just need to be ready for the call, if it comes.

“How do they do that? They just need to go and focus on performing well on the team and getting back up to speed on the systems.

“It is good for us to see the three players and how they deal with that re-integration process.”

Byrne and Kearney have already had a blow out against Northampton Saints, while Toner is back to training following a slight niggle ahead of the League opener away to Benetton on Sunday week.

There have already been casualties across Leinster’s pre-season.
