Jordi Murphy lasted just 26 minutes against Russia as he trudged off with a suspected rib injury.

Murphy had jetted out to replace the injured Jack Conan as Ireland's back-row stocks took a hit, but the Ulsterman added to Joe Schmidt's loose-forward worries.

Murphy tried to play on through the pain barrier but was called ashore after 26 minutes and will now be a doubt for Ireland's final Pool A game against Samoa on Saturday week.
