Returning stars will add real impetus

There is a big core of the Munster team who have been involved with the Irish set-up in recent months.

When you consider the favourable run-in which Munster have and the return of these players, it really looks like promising times ahead.

The guys who were most involved were Paul O'Connell, Conor Murray, Peter O'Mahony and Simon Zebo and they are going to raise the standards massively.

They have been competing for places in a winning Six Nations side so they are well-equipped to bring an even greater competitive edge back to the province.

They also have the winning mentality and they are not the only Munster players that were involved throughout the championship.

You had the likes of Ian Keatley and Tommy O'Donnell, who did so well in Rome, and also Felix Jones who had a major role off the bench.

We saw an improved performance last weekend when some of those guys had inspirational games against Connacht. It's really something to look forward to when they are back and playing together.
