Welcome return for Ringrose in Kings clash
Garry Ringrose's brief stint in Carton House with the Ireland squad on Tuesday may yet have major ramifications for his hopes of featuring against Scotland in a fortnight, but first things first and coming through this evening's game against the Kings unscathed is crucial.
The 23-year-old has had a torrid time with injury this season and he makes his latest comeback from an ankle injury for Leinster's home clash against the South Africans.
In theory, this is an ideal game for Ringrose to get back up to speed and partnering Isa Nacewa in the centre will help him readjust. "Garry was with us on Monday and out in (Ireland) camp on Tuesday," Leo Cullen said.
Communication "The communication has been good there. Everything has been clear on what's going on. He hasn't been out that long so he's pretty comfortable with the systems.
"It's a good chance to see him and Isa together and see how they get on against a Kings side that is slowly, but surely, improving."
Leinster are pretty inexperienced at half-back, with Ciarán Frawley making his first start and Nick McCarthy continuing to further his experience from scrum-half.
Cullen has been forced to dig deep into the province's talent pool again but against a poor Kings side, Leinster could field their 'A' team and get the job done.
Expect the home side to maintain their place at the top, as all eyes focus on Ringrose's return.
