Devin Toner is likely to miss next weekend's PRO14 final with the knee injury he suffered during Saturday's victory over Munster.

The lock had to be replaced in the second-half at the RDS after falling awkwardly and was on a crutch at full-time with his left knee heavily strapped. He will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the damage, but Toner is almost certain to be unavailable for the decider against Glasgow.

Toner has already missed a large chunk of the season having undergone ankle surgery following Ireland's opening Six Nations game against England.

Joe Schmidt will also be anxiously awaiting the scan results as Toner remains an integral part of his World Cup plans.
