RONAN O’Gara will start at out-half for Munster against the Scarlets tomorrow night in Wales as he sharpens up for Ireland’s Six Nations clash with Scotland next week.

The 35-year-old looks certain to start against Scotland after Jonathan Sexton was ruled out of the game after suffering a grade two tear of his hamstring against England.

O’Gara’s return means that Ian Keatley switches to full-back, a position he occupied before this season against Dragons and Racing Metro.

Donncha O’Callaghan also starts and with Ireland second row Mike McCarthy missing the Scottish game because of a medial knee ligament injury, he will also be hoping to force his way into Declan Kidney’s plans.

Hooker Mike Sherry will become one of the youngest Munster captains ever, when the 24-year-old takes over the captain’s armband tomorrow night.

Munster: I Keatley; D Hurley, I Dineen, JJ Hanrahan, J Murphy; R O’Gara, D Williams; W du Preez, M Sherry, BJ Botha; D O’Callaghan, I Nagle; CJ Stander, T O’Donnell, P Butler.

Replacements: S Henry, J Ryan, S Archer, B Holland, S Dougall, C Sheridan, D Barnes, C Laulala.
