Dan McFarland has warned his squad not to allow Munster to scent blood in Saturday's PRO14 clash at the Kingspan.

Conference A leaders Ulster are determined to follow up Sunday's stirring derby win over Connacht - their first away interpro victory in five years - by taking the scalp of Conference B leaders Munster.

Another win will take Ulster to 10 wins from 10 in the PRO14 while also inflicting a first league reverse on Johann van Graan's side this season.

"Connacht tested us there (the scrum) and Munster are exactly the same," said McFarland. "You show a little bit of weakness and it's like blood in the water for sharks.

"You have to be really strong in that area. That's down to me, I've got to make sure that part of our game is secure."

On the injury front, departing powerhouse back-rower Marcell Coetzee and lock Sam Carter are continuing to follow return-to-play protocols and it is unknown if they will be cleared to feature.

Sean Reidy is out again with a suspected shoulder issue.
