Connacht star Tiernan O'Halloran has been cited for allegedly making contact with the eye of Ospreys' winger Jeff Hasler during last Friday's PRO14 defeat at the Liberty Stadium.
The Galway native, who was already a doubt for this weekend's encounter with Glasgow with a foot injury, has been cited under Law 9.12 (contact with the eye or eye area) for an action which took place in the 76th minute of the encounter.
A statement from tournament organisers read: "A Disciplinary Panel will meet in Glasgow on Thursday, April 12 to consider the citing of Tiernan O’Halloran (No. 15) of Connacht Rugby against Ospreys Rugby on April 6, 2018.
"The incident occurred in the 76th minute of the Guinness PRO14 Round 19 fixture at Liberty Stadium when the player allegedly made contact to the eye or eye area of No. 14 Jeff Hassler.
"The player has been reported by the Citing Commissioner in charge for an alleged infringement of Law 9.12 - A player must not make contact with the eye or eye area.
"Theplayer will appear via video conference before a Disciplinary Panel comprising Rod McKenzie (Chair), Bill Dunlop and Frank Hadden (all Scotland)."
