CJ Stander will make his first appearance of the season after being named at number eight in the Munster team to face Cardiff Blues tomorrow night.

The Ireland star will make up a formidable back row including captain Peter O'Mahony and South African Chris Cloete as Munster face into a tricky away test.

New signings Joey Carbery and Tadhg Beirne both start for Johann van Graan's side while JJ Hanrahan has been named at fullback.

Elsewhere, Ulster have made six changes to their team ahead of tomorrow night's clash against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

Head coach Dan McFarland has opted to rotate his squad for what will be a short five-day turnaround from Sunday's win over the Kings.

19-year-old Angus Kernohan comes in on the wing, while Will Addison returns at fullback. Dave Shanahan starts at scrum-half in place of John Cooney, who suffered a nasty cut to the head last weekend.

In the pack, props Eric O'Sullivan and Wiehahn Herbst come into the side, as does flanker Matty Rea.

Cardiff vs Munster kicks off at 19.35, while Cheetahs vs Ulster gets underway at 18.15.
