Portlaoise host summer camp for budding stars
Portlaoise Rugby Club is hosting a number of initiatives for young and the not so young in the next few weeks.
The Herald Leinster Rugby Summer Camp is coming to the grounds at Togher, from Monday July 21 to Friday July 25. The camp is for girls and boys between six and 12.
The camp is being organised by the Leinster Branch, with all coaches fully trained.
Also, the camp will be attended by some of the current Leinster players.
Early bird registration of €70 per player applies until June 6. For further details, contact Harry Nicholls (087 – 6179990), or you can register on Leinster Rugby website.
For those not so young, Portlaoise tag rugby will commence in early June but hurry as today is the last day to register your team!
Games are played on Friday nights and teams must consist of 10 players with a minimum of three ladies per team.
Cost of entry is €250 per team.
For those unfamiliar with it, tag rugby is a non-contact sport and is great fun for all ages both male and female. Come along and join in.
