Sign up for School of Excellence to experience life as a pro player

Leinster Rugby is delighted with the early uptake on the Bank of Ireland Leinster School of Excellence programme that will take place in The King's Hospital for a four-week period over July and August.

Over 100 players have already registered for what is widely regarded as the best rugby experience for boys and girls aged 12-17 around.

We are again producing a camp that recreates in as far as possible the life of a professional rugby player on a week by week basis, with good fun in a safe environment.

It is important to identify what the player is doing off pitch as well as on it, so there will be a real focus on the recovery of the players as well as tailored video analysis sessions where the players will relate their efforts on-field to video examples of how the new skills would be applied in a game.

Tom McKeown, manager SOE said: "The staff and coaches are really looking forward to offering quality rugby experiences to the next pool of talent coming down the line.

"The feedback we received last summer was really encouraging and the players who attended have shown big improvements upon returning to their school or club. Hope to see you there."

Book before March 27 and avail of the early bird price of €275 for a non-residential camp and €375 for a residential camp at www.leinsterrugby.ie/soe.

Girls camp will be available for the week of August 10-14.

Dates: July 20-24 (boys); July 27-31 (boys); August 3-7 (boys), August 10-14 (boys and girls).
