McNamara bemoans collapse
Leinster 'A' 28 Doncaster Knights 37
Coach Noel McNamara could not hide his disappointment at how Leinster 'A' let go a 13-point lead to come unstuck against Doncaster Knights at Donnybrook on Saturday afternoon.
Tries from centre Gavin Mullin, prop Ed Byrne and scrum-half Nick McCarthy, all converted by out-half Ciaran Frawley, had them 21-8 ahead at the break.
From there, they simply fell asleep at the wheel to get blitzed by the Knights for 29 points, including four second-half tries.
"That 40 minutes is not a reflection of our performance in the tournament to date," said McNamara.
"It doesn't leave a nice taste," added McNamara, ahead of a home quarter-final in April.
