Mike Prendergast will be confirmed as Stade Francais attack and backs coach today.

The former Munster scrum-half’s reputation has been steadily rising in France since he joined Grenoble in 2013.

Following a four-year spell with Grenoble, Prendergast moved to Oyonnax last season, and although the club were relegated, the 41-year-old came in for praise.

Stade are looking to rebuild themselves after a difficult few seasons and earlier this year appointed ex-Springboks head coach Heyneke Meyer as boss.

The move to Paris is a significant boost to Prendergast’s burgeoning coaching career.
