It's been a difficult campaign for Connacht Eagles and although Nigel Carolan continues to accentuate the positives, in truth the end can't come quick enough.

The Eagles are the only side in the competition without a single point to their name having lost all five games to date but they will be hopeful of ending that disastrous run against the side closest to them in their pool.

Dragons Select play host to Carolan's youngsters this afternoon (2.0) and they will be desperate not to end this year's campaign pointless.

There are five changes in total from the side who were beaten by leaders Doncaster Knights last weekend. Academy players Ed O'Keeffe and Peter Robb both come into the back-line.

Up front, Ronan Loughney and Jack Dinneen join Conan O'Donnell in the front-row, while Marc Kelly is promoted from the bench make up the back-row with captain Rory Moloney and Cillian Gallagher.

Like Connacht, the Dragons Select are playing for pride but given the visitors' poor run, they are in much more need of a morale-boosting win.

Verdict: Dragons Select

Connacht Eagles - A Pewhairangi; E O'Keeffe, C Brennan, P Robb, F Carr; S O'Leary, C Lowndes; R Loughney, J Dinneen, C O'Donnell; D Qualter, D Nolan; M Kelly, R Moloney (capt), C Gallagher. Reps: P O'Toole, M Burke, C Romaine, M Cosgrove, S Keirns, C McKeon, A Leavy.
