Former Munster out-half Scott Deasy will captain the Ireland Club side in their meeting with England Counties at Temple Hill this evening (7.30).

Deasy played 37 times for Munster before opting out of the professional game. Since joining Lansdowne, the 28-year old has been a vital member of Mike Ruddock's side and helped guide them to the AIL title in 2015.

Deasy has been outstanding again this season as Lansdowne lead the charge in the top flight and he will be looking for carry that form into this clash as he returns to his old stomping ground.

He will have another experienced campaigner outside him in Matt D'Arcy. The Clontarf centre is a former captain of this team and he scored his eighth try of the season last week.

Both will be key to Ireland's hopes of winning back the Dalriada Cup.

Meanwhile, at the RDS, the Ireland legends who include the likes of Ronan O'Gara, Gordon D'Arcy and Mick Galwey will play England (6.0) in memory of Anthony Foley.
