Ireland Club captain Matt D'Arcy is relishing leading his country out at the Aviva Stadium this evening (8.0) when they take on their French counterparts.
The Clontarf clubman has been excellent for the defending Division 1A champions this season and he admitted that showcasing the talent within the domestic game at the country's national stadium is an ideal platform to promote the game.
"It obviously doesn't get much better. It'll be the biggest highlight of the rugby career to date," he said.
"It's a massive honour and we're all representing our clubs as well as our country. It's a really great showcase to show the amount of talent in the AIL.
"There's some unbelievable players who play in it every week and we're just some of them. It's a great idea to get all the clubs together and play for Ireland," D'Arcy added.
Head coach Paul Cunningham has made four changes to the starting XV who were beaten 23-18 in Scotland last Friday.
Kevin McGrath, Sean Coughlan, Angus Lloyd come into the back line, while Ger Sweeney starts in the front-row. Verdict: France Clubs
