O'Donnell to help Munster 'A' maintain perfect record
TOMMY O'DONNELL is expected to make a welcome return to action after being named on the bench for Munster 'A's British & Irish Cup tie away to Plymouth Albion tonight (7.45), WRITES Donnchadh Boyle.
The back-row forward has been out of action since injuring a knee in Pro 12 action in September, but he is expected to see some game-time as Peter Malone's side look to preserve their 100pc record in the competition.
In all, the province make four changes from the side who defeated Nottingham at Meadow Lane in October, with hooker Niall Scannell coming back in place of Duncan Casey, who is expected to be named in the Heineken Cup match-day squad for this weekend.
Casey will likely act as cover for Damien Varley, with Mike Sherry facing an extended period on the sidelines due to a knee injury.
English outfit Plymouth Albion are also unbeaten in this competition and recall Irish man Ben Woods, who signed from AIL outfit Old Belvedere during the summer, to full-back.
They also include Sam Matavesi, who last weekend played for Fiji against the Barbarians, at openside flanker.
