O'Connell hungry to shine for Munster
Munster coach Tony McGahan has welcomed all of his Ireland brigade back into a 29-man squad for tomorrow's Magners League clash in Cardiff, where Paul O'Connell should feature in the match-day 22.
O'Connell, who has started just twice in the Magners League in the last two seasons, is keen to accumulate game time.
"I'd love to keep playing now and get a run under my belt," said the Lions captain. "It's good to be getting fitter all the time. I felt very close against England. I tired a lot at the end, but I felt I was getting there."
McGahan, who will reduce his squad to 22 today, insisted that both Paul Warwick and Tony Buckley will remain in contention for starting roles until the end of the campaign, despite their decisions to play elsewhere next season.
Meanwhile, Shane Horgan looks set for a return to action for Leinster when they visit the Dragons on Sunday. The winger has been out since injuring his knee in January.
Devin Toner and Jonny Sexton look set to win their 50th caps for the province after being called into the squad directly from international duty.
Joe Schmidt is sweating over the fitness of Shane Jennings and Shaun Berne, but is boosted by the return of skipper Leo Cullen, Fergus McFadden and Eoin Reddan.
