Nelson double sees Ulster maintain perfect record

PETER NELSON crossed for two tries as a slick Ulster Ravens maintained their 100pc record in the competition in south Yorkshire on Saturday.

Gary Longwell's charges went behind early on when John McMahon and Ben Wade went over for Rotherham.

However, James McKinney's boot and tries from prop Callum Black and full-back Nelson saw the visitors go in 18-12 ahead at the break.

Ulster continued to edge matters in the second period and their backs in particular looked sharp.

Although the Titans scored first through Peter Homan, Ulster hit back with Nelson collecting his second try as he touched down in the corner.

He then added a penalty before Carl Kirwan made it a nervous finish for the visitors, with his try narrowing the gap to two points. But Willie Faloon eased any nerves with a last-gasp try in the corner to seal the Ravens' win.
