my job in munster Jennifer Kiernan MRSC & Ticketing Operations Manager
From Cork, Jennifer worked in recruitment before joining Munster Rugby. Coming from a strong sporting family she grew up watching rugby, and played hockey and tennis.
When did you join Munster?
In 2004; I have managed the Munster Rugby Supporters Club since 2005. My role expanded to include Ticket Operations this season.
What do you do?
I oversee the running of the MRSC and work closely with our voluntary members on the committee. I also oversee ticket operations on match day and the management of all season-ticket groups including the MRSC, 10-year ticket holders and club season tickets, along with the allocation and distribution of tickets for away games. We work closely as a team in the ticket office.
What is the best part of your job? The diversity, particularly with the MRSC where on any given day I could be dealing with anything from organising events and marketing to website articles and product design. Another great part of the job is match day, when we get to see the fruition of our work, especially when it's a full stadium with a sea of red.
And it's not just at home. The Red Army are rightly famed from their tremendous travelling support.
Most memorable match?
It has to be the Heineken Cup semi-final against Leinster in Lansdowne Road in 2006. The sun had come out, as it did a couple of years previously against Wasps, but this time we got the result. The atmosphere was electric, as was the team's performance. Leinster will never let us take over a Dublin venue like that again!
