From Ballincollig, County Cork, Fiona is a commerce and public relations graduate and joined Munster on completing her studies in UCC.

Fiona played rugby with Ballincollig RFC for seven years, winning a number of All-Ireland titles with the club.

When did you join Munster?

In 2006; I held a number of positions within the organisation, including roles within the commercial and media teams, before being appointed communications manager in 2013.

What do you do?

I manage the communications team where we actively promote rugby at all levels throughout the province, using all available channels to communicate our message to the wider support base.

I also manage all media and PR activity for the senior and academy squads.

What is the best part of your job?:

It has to be diversity of the role: working with so many of the organisation's stakeholders I get to see what happens at every level across the province.

We then get to shout about the good work that is being done, whether it's grassroots rugby, community engagement, the next generation of Munster players or commercial activities - it varies each day.

Most memorable match?

Thankfully I've been there for quite a few memorable moments but I'd have to say the French trips in the earlier years of the Heineken Cup stand out.

As a family, we set out on four-day expeditions to get there and we somehow always managed to go to the ones that ended in defeat!

They were still great experiences and didn't deter us from continuing to support the team.
