Munster snap up 'Bok Botha

MUNSTER last night confirmed they have signed South Africa prop BJ Botha on a two-year deal, subject to the usual procedure of him passing medical and fitness tests and securing a valid work permit, WRITES HUGH FARRELLY

As was first reported in the Irish Independent last December, the Springbok was keen to move south from Ulster at the end of the season, while Munster were in the market for a tight-head prop following the departure of Tony Buckley to Sale.

"We are delighted that BJ Botha has opted to join Munster," said Munster coach Tony McGahan.

"He is a player of the highest calibre who we believe will add significantly to our squad."
