Young Ireland stars drafted into Munster Academy for new season
Five members of the Ireland U-20 squad have been promoted to the Greencore Munster Academy for next season.
Hooker Max Abbott, scrum-half Ryan Foley, centre Dan Goggin, prop Brian Scott and lock Darragh Moloney have been promoted from the sub-academy while Irish U-19 full-back Stephen Fitzgerald and UCD scrum-half Jamie Glynn, who recently featured from the Munster Development side, have also been included.
Two members of the current academy crop of 20 have been awarded senior development contracts, with out-half Johnny Holland, at one stage linked to a move to Simon Mannix's Pau, and flanker Shane Buckley hoping to make the breakthrough next season.
Lock Darren O'Shea is moving to England to play for relegated Worcester Warriors, while Brian Haugh, Niall Kenneally, Harry McNulty and Darren Moroney have been released.
