Munster coach Johann van Graan says he is ready to welcome his 12 Irish players back into the provincial set-up, but that they face a significant mental battle following their disappointing World Cup performance.

Van Graan will have his Ireland players back on November 4, while the team's Heineken Cup starts the following week against Ospreys, who they also face tonight in the PRO14.

Tonight's game is the first of 13 games in as many weeks for Munster, and Van Graan admitted he is concerned about how his World Cup players will cope with those demands.

"It will be a challenge. First and foremost, it's about their health and to make sure they're mentally and physically ready to go for what's going to be a very tough block," said Van Graan.

"Certainly they are in a very good physical state, but to get past the disappointment of not getting further in the World Cup is pretty tough."
