Tyler Bleyendall will make his long-awaited arrival at Munster this weekend following extensive rehabilitation after surgery in New Zealand.

The 24 year-old Kiwi was due to arrive in October once the Canterbury Crusader's season came to a finish, but sustained an injury on ITM Cup duty in September.

The former New Zealand U20 captain has made good progress following surgery on the prolapsed disc and has been cleared to travel and will be further assessed by Munster medical staff and will continue to follow his rehabilitation programme.

Bleyendaal was signed by the province last May, on a three-year contract to give them an option at out-half as well as inside-centre.
