I was born in Cork and played a bit of underage rugby at Highfield RFC. I was big into soccer, playing with a successful College Corinthians team while also playing football with Bishopstown GAA.

I didn't start playing rugby properly until I went to Presentation Brother College and it wasn't until fourth year that I started to focus on rugby more than the other sports.

I played two years of Senior Cup rugby and although I started playing at 12, I moved to 13 in sixth year and knew straight away that it was right for me.

I have been capped five times at Irish U-20 level and was part of the Munster U-20 team that won the inter-pros last year. I joined Cork Con when I left school and then the sub-academy in 2015.

Favourite Munster game?

Munster v Wasps in Lansdowne Road in 2004.

Most memorable game I have played in?

Beating England in Newcastle in the U-20s Six Nations this year.

Favourite ground I have played in?

Playing in Thomond Park in the Senior Cup last year was a great experience and at Donnybrook on Friday nights during the U-20 Six Nations was always a special occasion. The 4G pitch is great.
