I was born in Ballinora in Cork and started playing rugby with Sundays Well. My father played for Sundays Well and London Irish and my cousin Alex McHenry was recently involved with the Ireland U-19s while I was involved with the U-20s.

I went to Presentation Brothers College and captained the senior cup team. Initially, I played at out-half and in the centre, but then converted to scrum-half. I have been capped at Irish U-19 level and U-20. I joined the Munster sub-academy in July 2015.

Favourite Munster game?

Watching the Heineken Cup final in 2006 against Biarritz was incredible and I attended the homecoming in Limerick with almost 40,000 people there showing support on the day.

Most memorable game?

This year's U-20 Six Nations game against Wales.

Favourite ground?

Wilton PBC, as it holds a lot of fond memories! My first game in Thomond Park was against Australia Schools with the Munster U-19s so that was pretty special too. Playing with the U-20s in Donnybrook on the Friday nights during the Six Nations this year was special.
