Technique focus of coaching course

Bantry Newsdesk Newsdesk

Munster Rugby recently held two workshops for coaches at Bantry Bay RFC, assisted by the club's community rugby officer Damien Hicks.

A total of 11 coaches were in attendance on the evening joining the club's U-14 and U-16 players who facilitated the practical element of both workshops.

The U-14 module focused on ball defence and tackle techniques.

Coaches overseeing the U-16s went through the breakdown within the game and broke it down into various components. These included the ball carrier, ball presentation and arriving players on attack and defence.

Munster Rugby would like to thank the Bantry Bay players for their assistance. Should your club wish to take part in a similar workshop please email
