St Mary's RFC, in association with Munster Rugby, held a Leprechaun rugby blitz at the club last month.

Leprechaun rugby is a fun, non-contact version of the game complete with uncontested scrums and lineouts.

Six teams from three local national schools participated on the fun-filled day. These schools were: Scoil Iosagain, Scoil Ide and Gaelscoil Saersail.

Munster Rugby would like to thank St Mary's director of rugby Niall McNamara, who was on hand to inform the children of the benefits of joining St Mary's.

St Mary's boasts a healthy mini section which trains on a Sunday morning. For information, contact St Mary's mini and youth officer Eoghan O'Byrne on 087 7631001
