Players need lift from best supporters
The Munster fans were such a major factor when we won two Heineken Cup finals, and they stuck with us through thick and thin - even when we had suffer heartbreak year after year in Europe.
It was disappointing to hear that Ian Keatley got such criticism when he came off in the Champions Cup last weekend, because this is a time when the team need the fans more than ever.
The 16th man can drive a team to play far above their breaking point and with a few disappointing results, this Munster side needs to have their fans cheering them on no matter what.
It's still very early in the season, and a lot can change in a couple of weeks. A win over in Leicester would turn the season completely around, and the fans mustn't forget that.
They need to dig deep too, and get behind the province to drive them on when things are not going right for them out on the pitch. And I'm sure the travelling contingent will do so again this weekend in Welford Road.
Obviously the players need to be producing, but it's vital the fans play their part too.
