O'Gara gala dinners to benefit charities
Huge crowds are expected to attend two testimonial dinners to honour Ronan O'Gara in Cork and London.
Several charities will benefit from the events to honour the former Lions, Ireland and Munster star, who is now part of the coaching team at Racing Metro in Paris.
The first event will take place at City Hall in Cork on October 24. All 600 tickets at €350 each have been sold and the organisers are now looking at expanding the capacity.
Charities which will benefit include the Donal Walsh LiveLife Foundation and a joint initiative between Cork University Hospital and Crumlin Medical and Research Foundation.
A host of personalities from all walks of life will be attending the event to honour the Munster legend, who brought the curtain down on a glittering career at the end of last season.
The second testimonial dinner will take place in London in February, two days before Ireland take on England in the Six Nations at Twickenham.
