Munster-linked All Blacks star Ben Smith set to sign for Top 14 side Pau - report

All Blacks centre Ben Smith is on the verge of signing a deal with French Top 14 team Pau after months of negotiations, according to a report.
French rugby paper Midi Olympique are reporting that Smith, who was linked with a move to Munster by media outlets in New Zealand before the speculation was dismissed by Rassie Erasmus, is set to join Pau.
The 30-year-old's contract with the NZRU expires this year.
If the deal goes through, Smith will join fellow Kiwi Conrad Smith at the Stade du Hameau.
Israel Dagg, who has been tracked by Leinster, and Aaron Crudden are also out of contract this year.
