Munster A head coach Peter Malone is expecting a massive test for his side as they seek to win a second B&I Cup against Jersey Reds at Irish Independent Park tonight (7.30pm).

A comprehensive victory over Ealing Trailfinders in the semi-final saw Munster reach the final for the first time since their 2012 win over Cross Keys, and Malone is primed for a massive test against the English Championship side.

"They have a big, physical pack. Their back-row is a big area of strength and they have a serious scrum and maul. They can play a bit as well," said Malone.

"We have had a look at them and expect a big physical challenge, as usual for a Championship side.

"You have to give them a lot of respect as well, having beaten London Irish in the Championship, when London Irish were fully loaded, and beating them in the B&I Cup as well the following week. They are a serious team."

All week the Munster A team have fulfilled their usual duties to help the first team prepare for tomorrow's Champions Cup semi-final, but Malone is confident his side have the ability to double job.

"Yes, it's a big week, two big matches. For our guys we can focus on a real big cup final on Friday night and obviously do some work on the Saracens game as well. That is part of the job, the lads all know it.

"We looked at a small bit of Saracens stuff in between looking at Jersey and getting our prep right for that, and obviously helping the lads prep for their big game on Saturday too. We're looking forward to it."
