Kelly the hero as Mary's show fighting spirit to get better of Cobh in tense finish
St Mary's won their second trophy in four days last Sunday, when in a dramatic finish they defeated Cobh Pirates 13-10 to claim the Munster Junior Clubs Challenge Cup at Charleville.
The trophy followed the Limerick side's Munster Junior Plate victory four days earlier, when they defeated Tralee 31-15.
Mark Chandler opened the scoring with a penalty on 37 minutes for Cobh, but Greg Barry had Mary's level with a penalty on the stroke of half-time.
Barry put St Mary's ahead on 52 minutes with a second penalty, before Rory Geary got in for a try for Cobh nine minutes from time and Chandler converted for a 10-6 lead.
A minute from time Barry Kelly scored a try for the Limerick side and Barry converted to give the Saints their second win in this competition.
