Impressive Cork Con aim for third victory in a row

Table-toppers Cork Con will look for their third win in a row in Division 1A of the AIL when they host Dublin University tomorrow.

Cork Con claimed an impressive 20-18 win away to rivals UCC in their derby tie at Mardyke last weekend. UCC are away to Young Munster at Tom Clifford Park under lights this evening.

UCC are eighth in the standings with two defeats from as many games, while tonight's opponents lost 23-10 in their local derby at Shannon last time out.

Shannon are sixth in the table and they travel to meet Terenure College tomorrow.

Garryowen are third before they go to Castle Avenue for a difficult game against Clontarf. Garryowen had a solid 17-14 win at home to reigning champions Lansdowne in Round 2.

Elsewhere, Midleton are top in Division 2C after three rounds of action. Highfield and Cashel are third and fourth in 2A. Sunday's Well are fourth in 2B.
