Historic mini girls day a great success

On the all-weather pitch beside Thomond Park, over 60 girls from across the province came together for the first Mini Girls day.
The groups were divided into U-10s and U-12s coordinated by Munster Rugby staff Amanda Greensmith, Kenneth McNamara and Euan Gee as well as Munster Senior Women's star Dheirbhile Nic A Bhaird, who put them through their paces throughout the day.
The focus of the day was fun and included small-sided games concentrating on catch pass, evasion and decision making. The girls then took part in a blitz.
There will be another mini girls day in February and if your club wishes to participate please contact Women's Development Officer Amanda Greensmith amandagreensmith@munsterrugby.ie
