The evening was held in conjunction with the IRFU and presented by Dr Garrett Coughlan, medical co-ordinator of the IRFU medical department.

This was the first of four information evenings taking place throughout the province to inform coaches and officers involved in the game about concussion recognition and management, as well as return-to-play policies following injuries resulting in concussion.

Munster rugby are also delivering presentations on the scrum, which will be hosted by former Munster and Ireland prop Marcus Horan and AIL coach Conor Twomey, with the talk based on their learnings from the recent IRFU scrum development workshops.

A large emphasis is being placed on developing a scrum culture within the province through technical development with a primary focus on injury prevention. The next seminars take place as follows:

November 27 -- Tralee IT, Kerry, 7.0 December 2 -- Garryowen FC, Limerick, 7.0 December 4 -- Clonmel RFC, Tipperary, 7.0
