The ever-popular Munster Rugby Summer Camps are back for 2014. This summer there will be a total of 23 venues spread throughout the province's six counties.

Camps are open for boys and girls of all abilities from age six through to 12. Each camp takes place over one week (Monday to Friday inclusive) between 9:30-1:30.

The cost is €85 per child. Additional children from the same family can attend for the discounted rate of €75 per child.

This year there is a special promotion rate of €75 per child for all those who book before May 1.

Munster's Community Rugby Manager Damon Urlich said: "The camps continue to go from strength to strength each year with the highlight of each camp undoubtedly being the visit of the Munster professional players.

"One of the benefits of our camps is that it gets young children involved in sport, in a fun and safe environment.

"Research tells us that educating children and helping them to be more active from an early age is vital to their future health.

"A key reason why Munster Rugby Summer Camps continue to be so popular is down to the quality of our experienced staff and their ability to ensure that all children come away with a positive experience at the end of the week."

Booking is easy, you can book online at or download an application form from the website. Host clubs will also be distributing forms to their mini rugby section.

Each participant will receive an Official Summer Camp Pack comprising an Adidas summer camp T-Shirt, shorts, socks, draw-string bag, mouth guard and one junior ticket to a Munster pre-season match.

Children will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as teamwork, respect and integrity, and the importance of physical fitness, all while learning to develop the basic rugby skills of passing, tackling (in a controlled environment), evasion and kicking. Most of all we guarantee lots of fun!

Participants will be divided by their age into groups.

The Camps will be managed and run by fully accredited IRFU Mini Rugby coaches.

All Summer Camp staff have undertaken the National Garda Vetting process required to comply with the IRFU policy regarding recruitment and vetting to work in age grade rugby.
